Hey folks, this is the first issue of the weekly “Techy Tangents.”
I’ll be sharing weekly updates on what happened in the tech and dev space.
FOMO: AI is everywhere!
As you may guess, AI is still the town's hot guy. And most probably, you have already heard a lot and might not want to listen to any more about it.
I get it.
Even while taking notes for this week’s issue, two different AI/ChatGPT wrappers were trying to help me. Notion’s AI was competing with Grammarly’s!
But hear me out.
You can use it to your advantage and boost your productivity. For example, I delegated my note-taking to ChatGPT:
If you also want to use a similar setup, you can check Tom’s article on how to implement it using PipeDream: https://thomasjfrank.com/how-to-transcribe-audio-to-text-with-chatgpt-and-notion/
Remember that you will need to use OpenAI’s API, which is paid.
There’re other tools that you can take advantage of free of charge. Well, somewhat free. Because to use ChatGPT 4, you have to be a “plus” user.
Suppose you're as idle as I am, unwilling to copy + paste content into the ChatGPT browser window and input a “brief summary”; fortune favors you.
Meet UseChatGPT.ai Chrome Extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/usechatgptai-chatgpt-copi/mhnlakgilnojmhinhkckjpncpbhabphi
Using it just a few days, but it's already proved helpful.
They even listed a page with prompts that can be useful on your case: https://www.usechatgpt.ai/prompts?category=All&use_case=All
It’s not enough? Then how about community generated prompt library: right inside on your ChatGPT window? Here’s another Chrome extension that I use daily: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aiprm-for-chatgpt/ojnbohmppadfgpejeebfnmnknjdlckgj
Stay Sane!
Everything happens so quickly you may feel like, you left behind. If you feel overwhelmed, then you should seek mental support. You can’t afford that? Then, there’s AI for that! 🙂
